Since May 2011, the European Parliament has approved a new privacy law which governs, among other things, the obligation websites have to ask users for permission to use cookies. The law known as the EU Cookie Law integrates and completes some previous directives (2002) on user rights, with particular reference to web communications and services, personal data, and privacy protection. 1. What are cookies?
Cookies are computer files or partial data that can be saved on your computer (or other devices enabled to browse the internet such as smartphones or tablets) when you visit a Site.
